This hexagonal shaped lamps are my favourite! I have 2 of these. The glass is handmade so its surface is slightly uneven which gives a wonderful effect on the flickering flame creating a prayerful atmosphere. The non smooth effect looks like condensation inside the glass softening the light of the flame.
These lampadas/kandila vigil lamps are easier to use and manage than regular glass ones because you lift the glass-part whilst pulling down the underneath part to change and fill the oil making it much safer and also no burnt fingers trying to top up the oil!
I highly recommend them. the photos don't do them justice, they are so beautiful and worth every penny!
